TCM’s podcast The Plot Thickens has turned its attention to Stanley Kubrick in a new series hosted by Ben Mankiewicz, TCM host and film historian, and made in partnership with Criterion.
The series features three interviews provided by The Elstree Project: Kubrick’s wife and collaborator Christiane Kubrick; his daughter Katharina Kubrick; and Julian Senior, who served as publicist for Stanley Kubrick’s films at MGM and later Warner Bros. Many excerpts from these interviews are being heard for the first time.
Episode three has just been released, with more episodes still to come. You can listen to the first episode, “The Bronx Kid”, on YouTube.
We’re delighted that these interviews can contribute to a new exploration of Kubrick’s work and the people who knew and worked with him.
