Accessing the Archive

At present, the interview archive is only accessible by appointment and viewing at the University of Hertfordshire’s Film Heritage Practice office, in the School of Creative Arts. If you wish to make an appointment, you can email h.w.berry@herts.ac.uk

We are working to make the archive publicly accessible, with transcripts of all interviews published, and full length recordings of all interviews published via our website. This is a large task and will take some time to complete, but our aim is to succeed in doing this by end of 2025.

Licensing

Material from our archive of interviews is available to be licensed for commercial and non-commercial productions. You can license footage for use in documentaries, news, museum displays, online, educational or corporate productions, feature films, television, and more.

We charge a per-second rate, in line with standard archive practice, with a minimum charge of 60 seconds. Duration is calculated at the point of delivery and not what you end up using. Variable licence lengths are available from one year up to five years.

For details please contact us on the email noted above.
